Lebanon…Imprisoned Splendour, 1996 – DCI

We have returned to Lebanon after more than two decades to produce a sequel to our original 1998 Academy Award Entry and multi-award-winning documentary film, Lebanon…Imprisoned Splendour, featuring global entertainment giant, the late Omar Sharif.

We will explore the resurgence of Beirut and its reputation as a business and banking center in the Middle East.
Imbued with the same passion and search for truth as the original documentary, the new film will explore the changes that have taken place over the last 20 years and explore the risks facing this tiny haven from Islamic fundamentalism in the form of ISIS, the influx of millions of Syrian refugees, and the perpetual Middle East Peace Crisis that threatens the tenuous peace that thousands of Lebanese, US Marines, and scores of UN peacekeepers died trying to preserve during the 15-year war from 1975-1990.
