AWARD-WINNING PRODUCTIONS
A multi-award-winning controversial socio-political documentary that exposes, for the first time, the endemic corruption at the highest echelons of power in Lebanon. Released in 2021, the ground-breaking film features exclusive interviews with former Prime Minister Saad Hariri, former Foreign Minister, Gebran Bassil, Lebanese Forces chairman, Samir Geagea, the disgraced former Banque Du Liban Governor, Riad Salameh, amongst a host of other political and civil society members as it takes audiences through the most formative events in Lebanon’s recent history including the October 2019 Revolution, the August 4 Beirut Port blast, and the economic collapse of the country.
Lebanon…Imprisoned Splendour was released in 1996, after the end of the Lebanese Civil War. It was the FIRST western production that provided world audiences with the “full picture”. Rather than focusing on single issues, the filmmaker’s unique perspective challenged previous and ongoing mainstream media depictions of the once war-torn country, its people and its history. The film won a Human Rights Award in 1997 and qualified for Best Feature Documentary in the 1998 Academy Awards.
